Our second Sloword application is now ready for you to dive into. You can access Scanword directly from the first screen by clicking on the image, or find it in the Settings under the "Other Applications" section. For a fresh take on puzzles, give this modern alternative to traditional crosswords a try.

Scanwords in Russian are truly a unique phenomenon, unmatched in any other language. They feature an array of literary questions, humorous queries, and topics reflecting current global events. What might seem like mere entertainment is, in fact, a testament to the Russian people's deep appreciation for the power and beauty of words. They cherish their language, uphold their promises, and value the word as their most precious asset.

Our application offers a diverse range of scanwords - from simple to complex, some featuring photographs, and others with classic or associative questions such as "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's tips. Each magazine includes an English-Russian scanword and a "holey" one - you'll soon understand the reason for that name. On every page, you'll be greeted by a character from our cheerful family. All scanwords are freely accessible to our readers. This annual collection contains 52-53 issues, each with 20 scanwords, totaling about 50 MB of storage on your phone - the images are small, and the text is concise. We respect your device's space.

You don't need an internet connection to solve the puzzles, provided the scanwords are already downloaded on your device. A new issue is released every Friday. If you have notifications enabled, you'll receive a reminder at 12:00 local time each Friday. Upon opening the app, the new issue will download automatically, and if successful, it won't download again. You also have the option to download or delete individual magazines to your phone, or download all magazines at once through "Settings."

The core features, including access to all scanwords, are free for our readers. Advertising supports this free access, with one narrow banner on each page and one interstitial ad before opening a scanword. Importantly, our advertisers do not interrupt the solving experience. In fact, they reward you with free hints for watching their videos.

Readers have the option, but not the obligation, to interact with the advertiser by: a) permanently disabling ads, b) subscribing to remove ads for the subscription period and gain unlimited hints, or c) collecting hints in bulk. These options are clearly displayed in the "Shop" section.
