Story

The DC universe is comprised of multiple parallel dimensions existing simultaneously, known as alternative universes. Within these unique realms, events unfold differently, leading to a variety of outcomes.

The game is set in a fictional alternative universe where Superman, after being tricked into killing his pregnant wife Lois and millions of civilians in a tragic nuclear accident, becomes corrupted. He brutally eliminates the Joker, the mastermind behind the tragedy, and then imposes tyrannical control over the planet.

With his mind corrupted, Superman views himself as the supreme deity tasked with maintaining peace and order. He becomes increasingly ruthless, willing to kill anyone he deems guilty.

Realizing that this cannot continue without leading to the planet's destruction, a group of superheroes forms the Insurgency to oppose this dictatorship, led by Batman. However, despite their combined powers, they struggle against Superman's One Earth Regime and need additional help.

Batman and the Insurgency devise a plan to teleport superheroes from a different dimension, where the Joker's schemes never succeeded. They aim to harness the powers of these alternate realm heroes, marking the beginning of your ultimate journey in the world of Injustice.
