Clash Royale has rolled out a major enhancement for the Inferno Dragon, delivering a powerful evolution nearly a decade after the card's initial release. To celebrate this long-awaited upgrade, Supercell teamed up with Finnish comedian Ismo Leikola for a creative promotional campaign.
Dragon Demands the Spotlight!
The fiery Legendary card takes center stage in Clash Royale's latest trailer, featuring Leikola as the dragon's eccentric Hollywood agent negotiating for stardom. The humorous spot shows the Inferno Dragon abandoning its battlefield duties to pursue fame in Tinseltown.
The evolutionary upgrade fundamentally changes the Inferno Dragon's combat mechanics. Unlike the original version that reset damage when switching targets, the evolved form maintains its escalating damage output - making it far more formidable in battle.
New Season Brings Firepower to the Arena
Dubbed "How to Evolve Your Dragon!", the latest season introduces both the Inferno Dragon Evolution and the return of the popular 2v2 League. Players can team up with friends or random partners to climb the competitive ladder.
Milestone Events starting at Arena 7 offer enticing rewards including Lumberjack Evolution Shards, Epic Books of Cards, and exclusive cosmetics. The season features two Crown Chase events - the first awards a Battle Banner set with frame plus an Epic Book, while the second delivers another Banner with Evolution Shards.
Throughout June and early July, special events will showcase the new Evolution cards:
- Inferno Dragon Evolution Draft (June 2-9)
- Inferno Dragon Challenge (June 6-9) with Banner and Emote rewards
- Evolution Mayhem (June 9-16) allowing 4 Evolved cards per deck
- Magical Trio (June 16-23)
- 4 Card Showdown (June 23-30)
- Evolution Bonanza (June 30-July 7) permitting 8 Evolved cards per deck
