The game features a diverse range of dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens, including the stray you can avenge in the pre-order DLC quest "Thrown to the Dogs."
Yasuke can also unlock smaller animals by painting them. This includes rabbits, fox kits, tanukis, and monkeys that you might come across and document in the wild. These critters can then be added to your Hideout for a more personalized experience.
Additionally, you can purchase farm animals such as oxen and goats from vendors throughout Japan, using varying amounts of mon to enhance your Hideout's ambiance.
