Heads up: Music streaming giant Spotify is currently experiencing an outage this morning. According to Downdetector, a sister site of IGN, reports of the Spotify outage started pouring in around 6 a.m. PT and have continued throughout the morning. Our team at IGN also faced difficulties accessing the service, and even when we managed to open the app, it failed to play any music.
Spotify has officially acknowledged the issue and is actively working to resolve it as soon as possible. They have also debunked rumors that the outage is due to a security hack, clarifying the situation on their official status account:
