2025 is poised to be a monumental year for DC's flagship Batman series. Writer Chip Zdarsky recently concluded his acclaimed run with Batman #157, making way for Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's Hush 2 storyline launching in March. Following this major arc, DC will reboot Batman with an all-new #1 issue featuring a fresh creative team—led by writer Matt Fraction (Uncanny X-Men, Invincible Iron Man)—and debut a redesigned costume while retaining Jorge Jimenez's celebrated artwork.

"Batman was my first comic—it's why I'm here," Fraction revealed. "Jorge and I are embracing superhero spectacle: a new Batmobile, redesigned Batsuit blending classic blue-and-gray aesthetics, plus fresh faces alongside iconic rogues. Everything that makes Batman legendary? We're honoring it." The relaunch hits stores September 2025.

DC also unveiled Superman universe updates at ComicsPro, including Sophie Campbell (TMNT) helming a Supergirl revival that returns Kara to Midvale. Inspired by 1970s comics and CW's series, Campbell's run debuts May 14 with Stanley Lau-designed costumes.

Action Comics shifts to Clark Kent's Smallville adolescence under Mark Waid and Skylar Patridge. "We're modernizing rural Kansas while exploring Superboy's power struggles," Waid noted. Their tenure begins June's Action Comics #1087.

Rounding out announcements, Krypto headlines DC All In with Ryan North and Mike Norton's five-issue miniseries diving into the dog's untold origin. "We're portraying him authentically—no speech bubbles, just canine perspective," North explained. Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton arrives June 18.
