Though Nintendo has introduced a new $79.99 price tier for select Switch 2 titles (like Mario Kart World) and enhanced original Switch games (including Super Mario Party Jamboree), Donkey Kong Bananza maintains the $69.99 price point. Donkey Kong Bananza marks the franchise's first new 3D entry since 1999's Donkey Kong 64 for N64. The core gameplay introduces innovative digging mechanics allowing DK to smash through terrain vertically and horizontally. Early footage suggests numerous underground secrets and treasures await discovery.
While underground exploration features prominently, levels span diverse environments including jungles, gorges, beaches, and icy landscapes.
