Rebel Wolves, the studio founded by former The Witcher 3 director and Cyberpunk 2077 co-director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, has announced its dark fantasy action-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch in 2026.
During yesterday's Xbox Games Showcase, the developer debuted pre-beta gameplay. It followed Coen, "a young man transformed into a Dawnwalker—human by day, vampire by night," as he learns to control his new powers.
But there's more to come. On June 21, Rebel Wolves invites players to join them on the year's longest day, "where the line between day and night fades, leading to unforeseen events." The 45-minute showcase will feature roughly 15 minutes of fresh gameplay with detailed developer insights.
We'll also get a deeper look at key mechanics, including the directional combat system that mixes swordplay, magic, and vampiric abilities. The event will cover exploration across Vale Sangora and how the stark gameplay differences between day and night significantly shape the story's direction.
"We're thrilled to finally share more of the game and are incredibly grateful for our community's support," said Tomaszkiewicz. "When we first announced the title in January, we promised a summer gameplay reveal—and now that time is here."
"Join us on June 21 for our Gameplay Reveal Event. Discover the abilities Coen unlocks as the Dawnwalker, a mysterious being straddling the worlds of light and darkness."
In The Blood of Dawnwalker, you become Coen, a being caught between humanity and vampirism. With only 30 days and nights to save his family or enact brutal revenge on his creator, you must navigate the consequences of his escalating bloodlust. The central question for players is this: how much of your humanity are you willing to sacrifice for those you love?
