Free Fire, Garena’s popular mobile battle royale, continues its global esports journey with a $1 million prize pool up for grabs as it returns to Riyadh for the Esports World Cup 2025. The hit game is part of a multi-year partnership with EWC, guaranteeing another major event in 2026.
This summer, 18 of the world’s top Free Fire squads will battle for a share of the $1 million prize pool. The tournament runs from July 16th to 20th, kicking off with a group stage divided into three groups of six.
The top twelve teams advance to the Point-Rush stage, then proceed to the Grand Final, which uses a match point format to determine the champion. A $10,000 MVP bonus is also awarded for the standout individual performance of the tournament.

If you followed last year’s action, Team Falcons are back after their incredible run in 2024, when they became the first Free Fire champions at the Esports World Cup. Despite a slow start in Point-Rush, they peaked at the crucial moments—securing two decisive Booyahs in the finals to claim the trophy and a spot in the World Series in Rio.
