After weeks of anticipation and player inquiries, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the community's concerns. If you're an avid player, you're well aware of how challenging the rollout of Version 1.5 was. It felt rushed and incomplete, and the team has now acknowledged that they were not fully prepared for the launch. As a result, they have decided to delay the release of Version 1.6.
When Is the Update Releasing?
Originally, Version 1.5 was released on April 28th, with Version 1.6 scheduled for June 4th. However, the release has now been postponed to June 12th. In light of this delay, the current Bubble Season will be extended until the new release date.
This means that all related events, such as Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties?, will continue until June 12th. Additionally, stores like Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will remain open. Weekly tasks, including Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20th, have also been rescheduled for Version 1.6.
The developers have issued an apology, citing struggles with performance across various platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently refining gameplay systems and have reassured players that missing storylines, such as Threads of Reunion, have not been abandoned but merely delayed.
Apart from the Version 1.6 Delays, What’s Up with Infinity Nikki?
Recently, the game has been plagued by numerous bugs, broken quests, and co-op malfunctions. In an effort to mitigate the situation, the team is offering daily compensation from June 5th to June 12th, which includes 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day. Players must log in daily to claim these rewards.
Some members of the community view this as a last-ditch effort to improve engagement metrics following recent missteps. There's also a sense of disappointment among players due to the timing of the apology, which was quickly followed by promotional banners for new outfits.
