The battle is officially coming home — even though it’s dominating the box office. Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film, One Battle After Another, has now been given a digital release date, and it’s earlier than you’d expect.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Warner Bros. film will land on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home on Friday, November 14. But that’s not all — the movie is also scheduled for Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD release on January 20, 2026. Additionally, fans can anticipate a limited-edition steelbook edition in 4K UHD this spring, featuring exclusive special content curated and produced by Anderson exclusively for this release.
Remarkably, One Battle After Another will hit physical shelves just two days before the nominees for the 98th Academy Awards are revealed — a fitting timing, as this film has emerged as one of the year’s strongest Oscar contenders. Anderson has earned nine career nominations across writing, directing, and Best Picture categories, yet has never taken home a win — until now, perhaps. This year could mark his long-awaited breakthrough in one or more of those categories.
Anderson isn’t the only one receiving acclaim for One Battle After Another. Stars Leonardo DiCaprio, newcomer Chase Infiniti, and musician-actress Teyana Taylor are being hailed as top contenders for lead and supporting acting honors. Still, the competition is fierce this season, so it’s far from certain who will even land a nomination — let alone win — in these fiercely contested categories.
One Battle After Another is still running in theaters nationwide, including in 70mm and VistaVision at select venues.
