GSC Game World has announced S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition, a next-generation upgrade of the original game trilogy, launching on May 20 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Enhanced Edition bundles remastered versions of Shadow of Chernobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Pripyat (2009). Each title receives comprehensive improvements, including enhanced graphics, optimizations for modern consoles, and broader modding support.
GSC Game World confirmed that players who already own the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy on Xbox Series X|S or PS5 will receive the Enhanced Edition upgrade at no additional cost.
On PC, as a thank-you to loyal fans, owners of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. titles will get the Enhanced Editions for free. Those purchasing the Enhanced Edition will also receive the original versions. The trilogy is available as a bundle for $39.99, or separately for $19.99 per game.
Cross-platform save functionality is not supported between PC and consoles. Your progress will be saved locally to the platform you're playing on.
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, multiple frame rate options are available: standard modes at 30 FPS and 60 FPS, plus specialized modes targeting 40 FPS and up to 120 FPS. The 40 FPS and 120 FPS modes require a display with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support.
The console versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Enhanced Edition offer several graphics and performance modes: Quality Balanced, Performance, and Ultra Performance.
Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro: Quality (native 4K/30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 4K/40 FPS), Performance (upscaled 4K/60 FPS), Ultra Performance (upscaled 1440p/120 FPS). Xbox Series S: Quality (native 1440p/30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 1440p/40 FPS), Performance (1080p/60 FPS).
The Quality Balanced and Ultra Performance modes are only available when using a VRR-compatible display.
