DC Studios has unveiled a thrilling new trailer for the upcoming Superman film, directed by James Gunn, set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute trailer offers fans an exciting glimpse into the expansive world of superheroes and supervillains featured in the movie. Notable highlights include Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, who effortlessly dispatches foes with a mere flick of his hand, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl. We also get our clearest view yet of The Engineer, portrayed by María Gabriela de Faría.
The trailer reveals that it's The Engineer who is responsible for destroying the robots, including Kelex, that care for Superman in the Fortress of Solitude. A previous trailer showed a devastated Superman holding Kelex after the destruction. Adding to the action, Krypto the Superdog is seen executing a flying punch against The Engineer, showcasing his readiness to engage in combat.
The trailer also features Lex Luthor, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman in action. We get a more in-depth look at Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason / Metamorpho. The Hammer of Boravia, a character introduced in a teaser trailer the day before, appears as anticipated in the full trailer. This new character, created by Gunn for the film, is believed to be Ultraman in disguise.

The dynamic between Clark Kent and Lois Lane is prominently showcased, with Lois conducting an interview with Clark in his Superman persona. The interview takes a heated turn as they debate the morality of Superman's intervention in a foreign war ("I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!"). In response to Superman's actions in Boravia, The Hammer of Boravia launches an attack on Downtown Metropolis.
Amidst the chaos, a heartwarming scene emerges where a civilian helps Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This act of kindness stands in stark contrast to other scenes where the public expresses anger towards Superman, even hurling objects at him.
