Top eShop Launch Games for Nintendo Switch 2 Revealed, Including $10 Zelda Upgrades

Authore: HenryUpdate:Jun 11,2025

24 hours since the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, and we’re already starting to see what titles are resonating most with players on the new console’s eShop. It gives us a good snapshot of early buying behavior — including just how much interest there is in those seemingly modest visual upgrades for The Legend of Zelda titles.

At the top of the Switch 2 eShop charts is none other than Mario Kart World, the console’s flagship launch title. For many (if not most) buyers, this game was likely picked up alongside the console itself. If you purchased a Switch 2 bundle that included Mario Kart World, you would have had to redeem an eShop code and download the digital version, contributing directly to its chart-topping position.

PlayComing in second place may raise a few eyebrows: *Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition*. This marks a major win for CD Projekt, especially considering the game skipped Nintendo’s previous console. With the Switch 2 now capable of running Night City smoothly, it seems fans wasted no time grabbing this next-gen edition. Earlier in the week, IGN spoke with CD Projekt about the challenges and breakthroughs behind bringing *Cyberpunk 2077* to Switch 2.

In third place is Nintendo's Switch 2 Welcome Tour, a $10 compilation of mini-games and tech demos. While some fans feel this should have been offered at no cost — a sentiment I can personally understand after spending an hour with the title last night — it remains an affordable introduction to the system. The package serves as both a tutorial and a showcase of the console’s capabilities. Please note, however, that full access requires a camera and a compatible controller or grip with GL/GR buttons.

The fourth best-selling title on the Switch 2 eShop right now might be under the radar for some: Fast Fusion. This high-speed sci-fi racing game makes for a notable addition to the launch lineup. Its developer, Shin'en Multimedia, previously released Fast RMX as a launch title for the original Switch back in March 2017. The appeal? Think of it as a spiritual successor to F-Zero. And with no new F-Zero in sight, Nintendo fans have embraced Fast Fusion as a worthy alternative.

Taking fifth place isn’t even a full game — it’s the $10 upgrade pack for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This is particularly intriguing because Nintendo Switch Online subscribers receive this add-on at no extra charge. Still, many users appear to be opting to purchase it outright — whether out of preference or lack of awareness. Regardless, its strong showing suggests that fans are willing to pay for improved visuals (which are often free in other titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet) and access to a new companion mobile app.

In sixth place is Deltarune, which launched its newest chapters this week. Seventh spot goes to the $10 upgrade for Zelda: Breath of the Wild — perhaps less surprising given that it’s an older title and player interest may have shifted toward Tears of the Kingdom.

Eighth place belongs to the calming life-sim RPG Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, followed by Square Enix’s Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster in ninth. Topping off the top ten are Yakuza 0 and Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition.

Further down the list, the full Switch 2 editions of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild flank Hitman: World of Assassination. Closing out the current top sellers is Hogwarts Legacy, whose Switch 2 version offers enhanced graphical features. A separate $10 upgrade is also available for those who already own the original Switch version.
