Ubisoft Remains Committed to the Driver Franchise
Ubisoft has officially confirmed to Game File that the live-action Driver series, previously slated for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, is no longer in production. The initial announcement in 2021, highlighting Ubisoft's aim to expand its gaming franchises into new media, has unfortunately been halted. The partnership dissolved due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary, in January.
While the TV series is off the table, Ubisoft has confirmed it's actively pursuing other Driver projects.
