After the March 10 update in Fields of Mistria, players can access the Fire Seal once prior altars are cleared. To unlock it, you need four items: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here’s how to obtain each item and break the Fire Seal.
Locating the Faceted Rock Gem in Fields of Mistria

The Faceted Rock Gem is an artifact hidden in the mines of Fields of Mistria. Ensure your game is updated, then explore Floors 50-59. We uncovered this item on Floor 56 after some digging.
Like other artifacts, you can unearth the Faceted Rock Gem from marked spots using a pickaxe or shovel. Be prepared, as it’s a rare find, so you may need to dig through multiple floors to locate it.
Finding Rockroot in Fields of Mistria

Rockroot is a common forageable item found between Floors 50-59 in the mines. If you frequent the mines, you may already have it. If not, look for a dark, root-like plant, as shown above. You only need one to complete the Priestess’ altar offering.

Sourcing Emeralds in Fields of Mistria

Emeralds are the easiest item to collect for the Fire Seal. Found in geodes on Floors 50-59, they’re fairly common and should be quick to gather if you don’t already have some stored.
Beyond mining, Emeralds can be obtained by breaking large boulders around Mistria. They’re also available at Balor’s Wagon for 200 tesserae. With the March 2025 update, the Stone Refinery allows crafting Emeralds, saving time if you prefer not to search.
Obtaining the Sealing Scroll in Fields of Mistria

The Sealing Scroll, the final item for the Fire Seal in Fields of Mistria, is part of a quest triggered after meeting Juniper at the seal. You’ll then work with Balor to acquire the scroll, which requires specific items as payment.
To obtain the Sealing Scroll, you’ll need:
x10 Silver Ingots x10 Rubies x10 Sapphires x10 EmeraldsYou may already have these items, but if not, they can all be sourced from the mines. Once collected, deposit them in the bin near Balor’s Wagon.
Breaking the Fire Seal
With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in hand, return to Floor 60 in the mines to offer them. This unlocks the Fire Seal, revealing a new biome and more content in Early Access.
NOTE: Fields of Mistria is in Early Access, and content may change. This guide is accurate as of Version 0.13.0 and will be updated if needed.
Fields of Mistria is available now on Steam Early Access.
