Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus has been on our radar since its launch. As arguably the most popular mobile game set in the grimdark future, any update is noteworthy. However, I suspect I'm not alone in being surprised to see Tacticus return to the '90s with a new event themed around Space Hulk!
For younger audiences, the name Space Hulk might not ring a bell. But for long-time Warhammer fans, it evokes memories of late-night gaming sessions, tense journeys through starship corridors, and haunting imagery from classic PC screens.
Originating as a tabletop game and spawning several acclaimed video game adaptations over the years, Space Hulk places heavily armored Space Marine Terminators against endless swarms of Tyranid Genestealers. Now, in this new survival event, you'll assume the role of the Dark Angels Deathwing company as they confront the alien menace within the monolithic passageways of the titular space hulks.
More events on the horizon
While the Space Hulk event is a nostalgic nod to classic Warhammer, the next planned event brings a more contemporary clash. It will feature the combined forces of the Sisters of Battle and the Black Templars chapter as they launch a campaign against the plague-infested Death Guard.
