Sueca is an engaging Portuguese point-trick card game that's fun to play.

Sueca is a popular point-trick game enjoyed in Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Macao, Mozambique, Nagasaki, and Goa. It's a team-based game for four players, with two players per team.

In Sueca, your goal is to win the most tricks. The game uses a 40-card deck—a standard deck with the 8s, 9s, and 10s removed. Card ranks from highest to lowest are: Ace, 7, King (K), Jack (J), Queen (Q), 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Point values are Ace (11), 7 (10, called *manilha*), K (4), J (3), Q (2); all other cards are worth 0.

Winning a trick lets you collect the total point value of its cards. Remember, the highest card in the trump suit always takes the trick!

The two-player version of this game is called Bisca, which is very similar to Sueca. Bisca is also available in this app.
