WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto presents graduated cognitive exercises using fundamental geometric forms. Designed to enhance visual and spatial awareness, this game is accessible to anyone who can identify basic shapes and comprehend stencil concepts.

Solving these puzzles engages multiple critical thinking skills simultaneously - visual/spatial processing, logical analysis, strategic planning, and creative problem-solving. While the premise appears simple (tapping stencils to match shown patterns), the challenges require significant cognitive effort and deliver substantial mental rewards.

Developed over a decade by an educator with input from diverse groups - including neurotypical children/adults and individuals with learning differences or brain injuries - the game has proven universally engaging and beneficial.

The new Education Mode makes classroom implementation practical, offering content access through a single purchase with controls for internet, sharing, and Game Center functions. Family Sharing compatibility extends its utility to homeschool environments.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Originally called the Stencil Design IQ Test, this format was created by psychologist Grace Arthur Ph.D. in the early 1900s. Recognizing nonverbal intelligence as fundamental to cognitive ability, she found the test equally effective for seven-year-olds and university professors. Her work with Native American and deaf children (who struggled with verbal IQ tests) demonstrated equivalent cognitive abilities through this nonverbal measurement tool.

GAME CONTENT

Two game types are available:

Classic Games utilize Arthur's original geometric stencils (squares, circles, triangles, crosses)

World Games provide advanced challenges for skilled players seeking greater complexity

With over 600 graded puzzles (including 60 free samples), each completed Classic Game awards animated Smileys representing diverse historical/mythological figures - offering cultural representation while tracking player progress.

PLAY MODES

• Mortal Mode: Default timed/scored gameplay with life purchases/regeneration and leaderboards
• Immortal Mode: Unlimited lives with timed scoring and separate leaderboards
• Mindful Mode: Untimed, unscored relaxed play
• Education Mode: Combines Immortal and Mindful options (Mortal Mode can be disabled)
