Hexanaut.io is an immersive IO game where your goal is to seize as much territory as possible. Watch your trail—if you cross your own line or get cut off by an opponent, it's game over. Capture special totems scattered across the map to gain unique advantages. How much land can you claim? Show off your strategic skills in this fast-paced territorial battle.

HEXANAUT GAME GUIDE

Control your path using your mouse. Venture beyond your borders to draw a line and claim new areas. Once you return to your territory, the enclosed region becomes yours.

Leaving your zone is risky. If an opponent intercepts your trail, you’ll be eliminated and forced to restart.

Capture 20% of the map to earn the Hexanaut rank. Maintain that territory for two minutes after reaching Hexanaut status to win the match!

Important: if you're eliminated while an opponent is a Hexanaut, you cannot respawn.

CAPTURE TOTEMS FOR ADVANTAGES

Hexanaut.io features five unique totems. Grab them when it's safe—each offers a special ability that can help you dominate the map and claim victory.

SPREADING TOTEM

The Spreading Totem is the only one that directly captures hexes for you. Once activated, it emits lasers that claim adjacent tiles one by one—extremely helpful early on when securing land is challenging.

SPEED TOTEM

The Speed Totem increases your movement speed by 5%. While that may seem modest, stacking multiple totems makes a noticeable difference. Prioritize collecting these to gain an edge.

TELEPORTING GATE

Teleporting Gates offer instant travel across the map. They're perfect for covering large territories quickly or surprising enemies. Catch opponents off-guard by appearing suddenly where they least expect you.

SLOWING TOTEM

The Slowing Totem creates a zone that drastically reduces other players’ speed—like moving through a spider web. Use this to trap careless opponents who enter the area. Steer clear of enemy slow zones to avoid becoming an easy target.

SPY DISH

The Spy Dish reveals all enemy territories. This becomes crucial as you expand—it highlights vulnerable areas under attack, letting you defend key zones before it’s too late.

Hexanaut is an IO game, meaning you play alongside both real players and AI-controlled bots. This hybrid approach ensures fast matchmaking in large lobbies without long waiting times, offering a seamless and competitive experience.
