Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

Authore: NovaUpdate:May 14,2025

Tomorrow marks the release of the first Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds, introducing quests that emphasize competition through fast clear times. In response to this update, Capcom is taking a firm stance against cheating, warning players about the consequences of engaging in fraudulent activities.

In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom issued a clear warning: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."

Not only are individual cheaters at risk, but Capcom also cautioned that players in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could face invalid quest completion times and lose the "right to rewards" for the entire party. The company advises players to be cautious and avoid multiplayer sessions with those suspected of cheating, urging them to report any fraudulent activity they encounter.

The new quests will offer appealing cosmetic pendants as rewards, with some available to all participants and others based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This explains Capcom's strict measures to maintain the integrity of the competition and ensure fair reward distribution.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Be sure to head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 launches tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
