First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is slated for an eight-episode first season. While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, it seems Dante will be the focus, likely drawing inspiration from the events of the first three Devil May Cry games. However, any direct connections to the game's canon remain unconfirmed. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video games, will be lending his talents to the role of Dante.
The latest installment in the Devil May Cry franchise, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return after a period of relative inactivity following 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. A standout action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, particularly for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive review here.
