Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant hurdle in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide details the methods to overcome this obstacle.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, closer to Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Use Spirit Vision to reveal the broken sections. Crossing requires:
- Gloves of Teleportation: Teleport each party member individually.
- Translocation Skills: Use skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat. Note: Not all companions possess these skills.
- Teleporter Pyramids: Place one pyramid with a companion using translocation; the rest teleport to them using the second pyramid.
- Fast Travel: Have a companion with translocation reach the island, activate the waypoint, and then fast travel the rest of the party.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage. However, this is deceptive.
- With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the crossing. He can then activate the waypoint for the rest of the party to fast travel.
- Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), and the second pyramid is used to teleport the rest of the party to their location for revival. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.
Important Considerations:
- Avoid attacking the Ferryman: He retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. Save before engaging. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
- Bridge is generally faster: Unless you have Fane, the bridge method is recommended for its efficiency.
This comprehensive guide ensures a smoother journey to Bloodmoon Island and the continuation of your Divinity: Original Sin 2 adventure.
