A surprise greeted Fortnite players on August 6th: the highly sought-after Paradigm skin, a Chapter 1 Season X exclusive, unexpectedly reappeared in the item shop after a five-year absence.
Initially, Epic Games attributed the skin's return to a technical glitch, promising removal from player inventories and V-Buck refunds. However, a swift change of heart followed significant player outcry.
Within two hours, Fortnite announced a reversal: players who purchased the Paradigm skin during its accidental return can keep it. A tweet confirmed, "Bought Paradigm tonight? You can keep her. Her accidental return to the Shop is on us... so if you purchased The Paradigm during this evening's rotation, you can keep this Outfit and we'll refund your V-Bucks soon-ish."
To preserve the original exclusivity for those who initially obtained the skin, Epic Games committed to creating a unique, new variant exclusively for them.
