After a long-awaited hiatus, the beloved puzzle game World of Goo has returned with its full sequel, World of Goo 2, now available on mobile devices. Developed by 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation, this sequel has been released across multiple platforms including Android, iOS, Steam, and PlayStation 5.
A Ton of New Stuff
World of Goo 2 Mobile introduces a host of new features that enhance the gameplay experience. Players can now earn over 30 new achievements, adding a layer of challenge and accomplishment to the game. Additionally, the inclusion of an options menu marks a first for any game developed by 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation, offering players greater control over their gaming experience.
Originally launched on Windows in October 2008, the first World of Goo captivated players with its unique mechanics of constructing bridges and towers using goo balls, all while battling the forces of physics and gravity. World of Goo 2 takes this a step further by introducing realistic fluid dynamics. Players can now manipulate flowing, splashing, viscous liquid, turning it into Goo Balls, extinguishing fires, and solving increasingly complex puzzles.
The sequel also brings a variety of new Goo types to the mix, including Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing Goo, Shrinking Goo, and Explosive Goo, among others. Experimenting with these different species and understanding how they interact will be key to mastering the game's puzzles.
