Kingdom Come 2 Quest: Miners' Dilemma Explored

Navigating the choices in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be tricky, especially during side quests. This guide focuses on the Post Scriptum quest and whether you should assist the miners.

Initiating Post Scriptum:

This side quest begins in the Kuttenberg region. Find the tavern west of Kuttenberg city and speak with Kvyertsolav to initiate the quest. You'll be tasked with writing a letter for the miners. The wording of the letter doesn't significantly impact the outcome. After writing it, the miners will attempt to attack; a successful Speech check will allow you to escape.

Should You Betray the Miners?

You can choose to turn the miners over to the baliff. This ends the quest quickly, rewarding you with 100 groschen, but it’s not the optimal outcome.

Helping Markold or the Miners:

Next, deliver the letter to Markold. You can attempt to blackmail him, but the Speech check is difficult and ends the quest. Helping Markold involves killing three miners, yielding a meager 60 groschen – the worst possible outcome.

The recommended approach is to deliver the letter as intended. Markold will pay you seven groschen and direct you to meet miners north of the city. Assist the miners in defeating Markold. This results in a reward of 160 groschen from Myslibor and a more satisfying conclusion, improving the miners' working conditions.

In short: Helping the miners provides the best reward and a more morally sound resolution. Check out The Escapist for more Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 guides, including advice on the Semine storyline and romance options.
