LoL: Wild Rift 6.2 Update Adds New Theme

League of Legends: Wild Rift version 6.2, titled "Powers Unbound," launches on July 17 with its Soulforce Awakening theme. The update introduces new champions, revamped items, balance changes, improved behavioral tracking, and premium cosmetic releases.

Wild Rift 6.2 delivers substantial gameplay upgrades

Three champions expand the roster: Aurora (The Witch Between Worlds) debuts as a nimble AP assassin requiring strategic positioning in mid lane. Her kit emphasizes mobile combat and tactical spellcasting.

Bard brings his iconic meep mechanics to the battlefield, enabling team rotations through magical journey portals that reshape map movement strategies.

Vel'Koz enters as a geometrically precise artillery mage, rewarding players who master angular attacks to eliminate foes from maximum range.

The item system receives major updates including redesigned classics like Bloodthirster and Infinity Edge. New marksman item Soul Transfer creates attack-duplicating clones on critical strikes.

Among whimsical additions is an enchanted swine patrolling major objective pits. Defeating it grants gold, XP, and occasional tower-charging piglets. The map also features new magical easter eggs.

Enhanced behavior tracking system implemented

Version 6.2 introduces a five-tier Behavior Score system that evaluates in-game conduct. Positive players earn rewards and ranked access, while toxic behavior results in feature restrictions and competitive disadvantages.

Ranked progression now synchronizes between standard and Legendary Queue. The Grandmaster rank splits into three distinct tiers for more balanced advancement.
