Second Dinner is rolling out a major event for its players: a worldwide tournament! The Marvel Snap Golden Gauntlet World Championship Series has been announced. This community-driven, open competition invites all players to join.
Marvel Snap Golden Gauntlet World Championship Begins August 9, 2025
No rank restrictions or collection level limits apply here. Simply register, join, and start competing. The first qualifier, Golden Gauntlet Open 1, launches on August 9, designed for the APAC region and the Western United States. It starts at 5 PM PST and is limited to 1,024 participants.
The tournament format consists of six Swiss rounds, with the top 16 advancing to a single-elimination bracket. Players achieving a 5-1 record or better will qualify for the Golden Gauntlet Worlds later this year. Registration for the initial event begins July 31.
Two additional Opens are scheduled for September and October. Golden Gauntlet Open 2 will target players throughout the Americas, while Open 3 is aimed at the EU and Eastern US. Marvel Snap will announce precise dates and registration information soon on the official Discord server.
All Roads Lead to the Ultimate Showdown
The championship finale, Golden Gauntlet Worlds, is set for November 8, 2025. More than 300 players who qualified through the Opens will compete across nine Swiss rounds before the top 16 move into the playoffs. Just like the qualifiers, top performers will earn prizes.
The entire series will be broadcast live on the game’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. Additionally, the event is fully online, free to enter, and created for the community. There are no hidden costs or private invitations. It will be exciting to see how the series unfolds!
