Netflix Will Produce Animated Series Set in the World of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale

Netflix and Supercell have exciting news for fans of the Clash franchise: they're bringing the world of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale to your screens with a new animated series. Currently in pre-production, this series promises to amplify the chaos and excitement of the games, as per Netflix's press release. The plot will revolve around an ambitious yet overwhelmed Barbarian who must unite a group of misfits to protect their village and navigate the hilariously convoluted politics of war.

The announcement was shared with enthusiasm across the official Clash of Clans social media platforms. They posted, "Sound the horns, raise the banners, and reinforce your village walls — Clash is invading @Netflix!" accompanied by a charming teaser video. In it, Supercell's developers humorously announced the series via a group FaceTime call, saying, "We’re making a new animated series starring your favorite mustachioed Barbarian and his high-pitched, hog-riding friends. Charge!"

Netflix's team is thrilled about this venture. John Derderian, VP of Animation, remarked, "Clash has been a global gaming phenomenon for over a decade – filled with humor, action, and unforgettable characters perfect for an animated series adaptation." While the series is still in pre-production and a release date has not been announced, Netflix continues to expand its portfolio of video game adaptations. Notable successes include Arcane, based on League of Legends, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, based on Cyberpunk 2077. The streamer also has adaptations of Resident Evil, Tekken: Bloodline, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Dragon's Dogma, Dragon Age: Absolution, Castlevania, and many more in its lineup.
