A speedrunner of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild achieved a remarkable feat at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, where playtime was limited to just 10 minutes. As reported by VGC, Japanese content creator Ikaboze managed to beat the final boss, Ganon, in a mere seven minutes using an existing save file. Impressively, Ikaboze did this without knowing what equipment Link had, and under challenging conditions including using an unfamiliar controller and not being able to hear the game due to the noisy convention environment.

Ikaboze's challenge was to defeat Ganon "while tied up completely naked and with all my equipment removed," showcasing his skill and creativity. The achievement was met with spontaneous applause from onlookers, and even the event staff were seen filming the moment on their smartphones. Ikaboze expressed his surprise at the crowd's reaction and the congratulations he received from the staff, marking it as the first completion of the Breath of the Wild demo at the event.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild features improved visuals and performance, achievements, and support for the new "Zelda Notes" service via the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Breath of the Wild on the Switch can access these enhancements through a $10 upgrade pack. Similarly, upgrade packs for both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are available at no extra cost for Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
