You're probably familiar with the Pocket Gamer Awards, but did you know our sister site, PocketGamer.biz, also hosts its own celebration of mobile gaming? That’s right—the PG Mobile Games Awards are an annual tradition, honoring the very best across the industry. Awards are given in categories covering everything from development tools and support agencies to service providers.
So, what does that have to do with us, you ask? Well, one of the 23 categories is the PG People’s Choice Award—and that’s where you come in! While most of the event focuses on industry achievements, it’s also important to recognize the top mobile game released in the past year. And who better to decide the winner than the players who enjoy mobile gaming day in and day out?
Nominations are open now
This is a public vote, opening on June 30 and closing on July 31. Sharp-eyed readers may notice that voting hasn't started yet—that's because we need your nominations first. From now until midnight on June 27, we invite you to nominate your favorite game from the past year. Once nominations are in, we’ll prepare everything for the main vote.
After voting closes on July 31, there will be a short wait before results are announced. The winner will be revealed at a special awards ceremony on Tuesday, August 19, in Cologne. Of course, we’ll also share the results online, so don’t worry if black-tie events aren’t your thing.
The past year has brought incredible experiences to mobile gaming, with standout ports, exclusive mobile titles, and cross-play releases you can enjoy anywhere. With so many impressive games to choose from, I’m glad the final decision rests with you.
