Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Event Is a Throwback to Classic Nintendo Consoles

Get ready for a blast from the past as Pikmin Bloom celebrates its 3.5th anniversary next month! Niantic is bringing back the nostalgia with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025, and running through May 31st, 2025. This celebration is a perfect opportunity to dive into the world of Pikmin and relive the golden days of Nintendo.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Pikmin Bloom has always delighted us with unique decor, from Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles to those sporting Playing Cards. Now, for its 3.5th anniversary, the game is introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s into the mix. This update is a homage to the era when Nintendo was synonymous with innovative gaming.

Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available, paying tribute to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. The designs are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks, adding a touch of historical charm to your collection.

Throughout the event, you can participate in Event Challenge missions to earn random rewards, such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals. Don't miss out on the Brilliant Mushrooms that will appear during the event; smashing them can yield Mystery Boxes filled with Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are especially effective at taking down these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May is the month of blooming flowers in Pikmin Bloom. Plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around your seedlings, and you might see them grow into beautiful carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses.

There's also an exciting nectar update for May. Fruits from mushrooms will now provide nectar not only for regular flowers but also for the special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

Beyond the anniversary festivities, don't forget to mark your calendar for Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready to celebrate the 3.5th anniversary in style.
