Pokémon GO is thrilled to announce the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon in the upcoming Max Out season! This exciting new feature will transform your gameplay experience. Learn more about this electrifying addition and the season's events below.
Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th
The Max Out season kicks off September 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time and concludes September 15th at 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized fun and incredible rewards!
Initial Dynamax Pokémon Encounters
Starting with the Max Out event, Trainers will encounter Dynamax versions of these Pokémon in 1-star Max Battles:
- Bulbasaur
- Charmander
- Squirtle
- Skwovet
- Wooloo
Catch these Dynamax Pokémon (and their evolutions!) and even encounter Shiny variants! Special Field Research tasks will also be available during the event. Participate in PokéStop Showcases featuring event-themed Pokémon for a chance at extra rewards.
Seasonal Special Research
A new Seasonal Special Research story launches September 3rd at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until December 3rd, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time. Complete Max Battle-focused tasks to earn valuable rewards like Max Particles and a new avatar item!
Max Particle Pack Bundle
Stock up on Max Particles! A special bundle containing 4,800 Max Particles will be available on the official Pokémon GO web store for $7.99 starting September 8th, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. PDT.
Future Updates: Power Spots and Gigantamax?
Rumors suggest the arrival of Power Spots next month, designated locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection. While Niantic hasn't confirmed this, it's an exciting prospect!
Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla revealed that some Dynamax-capable Pokémon will also be able to Mega Evolve (per Eurogamer). The possibility of Gigantamax Pokémon remains unconfirmed, despite teasers at this year's Pokémon Worlds. Niantic promises further details on Dynamax battles soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
