Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to roll out some thrilling updates that fans have been eagerly awaiting. The much-anticipated trading feature is finally making its way into the game, along with the exciting Space-Time Smackdown expansion. This means you'll soon have the opportunity to swap cards with your friends directly within the game, enhancing your Pokémon TCG experience.
When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?
Mark your calendars! Starting January 29th, 2025, you'll be able to engage in trading within Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just a day later, on January 30th, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will be released. This update not only introduces new cards but also enhances your digital binder and display board with fresh covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.
The introduction of trading has been a long-awaited feature. To participate in trading, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind that the cards eligible for trading are limited to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Initially, you'll only be able to trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, but the developers have promised to include more tradeable cards in future updates.
The Space-Time Smackdown expansion dives into the Sinnoh region, bringing with it two new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with stunning new card illustrations. Fans of the Sinnoh region will be thrilled to see Lucario, the steel-and-fighting powerhouse, and the beloved starter Pokémon Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup featured in this expansion.
