The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, drawing in over 90,000 competitors for the year's first international PUBG Mobile Esports event. The Open Qualifiers, which started on February 13th, are paving the way for new talent to rise and secure their spots in the prestigious PMGO Main Event.
With a hefty $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams must navigate through multiple rounds of competition. This tournament is exclusively for amateurs, shining a spotlight on up-and-coming players and giving them a chance to shine on the global stage.
Teams featuring at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, these emerging squads will vie for a position in the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront the elite teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the opportunity to compete against PUBG Mobile's top professionals at the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams have already secured their spots based on their performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024: Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage. Four additional teams will join them, selected from the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, leading up to the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the beginning of an exciting year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC set to return later in 2025.
