Star Wars Celebration has unveiled the first official look at Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll in the second season of Ahsoka. For those unaware, McCann is stepping into the role of Baylan following the untimely passing of Ray Stevenson.
Although we haven’t seen McCann in motion yet, the Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration shared a debut image, which you can view below.

Stevenson, celebrated for roles in Thor, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, Rome, and other productions, died after a short illness just months before Ahsoka premiered. Many viewers considered his performance as Baylan one of the series' standout moments.
Dave Filoni, creator of the Ahsoka series, reflected on the difficulty of moving forward without Ray, calling him "the most beautiful person on screen and off" and acknowledging his loss as a major obstacle for Season 2.
Filoni and the production team also shared some new details about the upcoming season, confirming the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, along with Admiral Ackbar, Zeb, Chopper, and others.
In our review of Ahsoka's inaugural season, we noted that "early episodes felt slow as the show worked to reintroduce characters and lore from Dave Filoni's animated Star Wars series. However, once the cast and storylines fully take off, Ahsoka delivers a powerful mix of deep mythology, wit, and epic battles—honoring classic Star Wars while opening doors to fresh adventures."
