Ryan Reynolds is reportedly in the "early stages" of developing a new film that would bring together Deadpool and several X-Men characters. Instead, he would share the spotlight with three or four other X-Men members, allowing these characters to take center stage and be "used in unexpected ways."
This project would stand apart from the X-Men film that Hunger Games writer Michael Lesslie is currently working on. Reynolds is known for meticulously crafting his ideas before presenting them to Marvel, much like he did with the film Deadpool & Wolverine, which initially started as a concept for a low-budget road trip movie.
