Until the Arctis Nova Pro arrived, the Arctis Pro stood as SteelSeries' flagship gaming headset. It includes several premium features not commonly found elsewhere, such as a dedicated control hub with a volume knob and OLED display, the ability to pair via Bluetooth and 2.4GHz WiFi simultaneously, and its standout feature: a hot-swappable battery system. The package comes with two batteries—one powers the headset while the other charges in the dock, ensuring uninterrupted wireless play without recharge delays.
The Arctis Pro is built to last, with a headband crafted from a lightweight steel and aluminum alloy. The suspension headstrap provides exceptional comfort for extended gaming marathons, while the breathable AirWeave ear cushions offer better airflow than the Nova Pro's synthetic leather cups, which can cause sweating for some users. The ClearCast boom microphone retracts neatly when not needed. Audio quality is superb, driven by large 40mm speakers that deliver powerful, clear sound with minimal distortion. You also get a range of EQ presets plus the option to create your own custom sound profile.
SteelSeries Arctis Pro Review by Matt Elliot
"The SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless combines premium construction, a comfortable fit, and outstanding audio. Its clever swappable-battery design means you're never out of power. While the sound is excellent, I found the wired Arctis Pro + GameDAC performs slightly better for gaming. It's also $70 less expensive. Alternatively, the wireless Arctis 7 offers tremendous value at less than half the price of the Pro model."
The Arctis Pro was succeeded by the Arctis Nova Pro in 2022. The new model, currently priced around $300 on Amazon, received a positive review from us and includes upgrades like active noise cancellation and USB-C charging. However, at nearly twice the cost of this Arctis Pro deal, the Nova Pro doesn't represent double the value for most gamers.
