The much-anticipated space adventure is set to release on the new Nintendo handheld a few months later on September 4, following the console's debut on June 5. If you missed it on PS5, Xbox, and PC, Star Wars: Outlaws is positioned between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. It follows the journey of Kay Vess, a small-time criminal who finds herself marked for death by a cartel. Our reviewer rated it a 7, describing it as "a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, but hindered by simple stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch."

The announcement came during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, where Ubisoft also unveiled the second story pack for Star Wars: Outlaws, named A Pirate’s Fortune. In this add-on, Kay Vess will ally with Hondo Ohnaka to challenge Stinger Tash, the leader of the Rokana Raiders. Star Wars: Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune is slated for release on May 15.
