Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures
Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some upcoming departures. Leaks proved accurate, revealing the arrival of highly anticipated games like Diablo and UFC 5, though with some subscription tier restrictions.
The January 2025 additions include seven new games, kicking off with Road 96 (available now across all tiers) and continuing with several others launching on January 8th and 14th.
New Games Arriving in January 2025:
- Road 96 (Available January 7th - All Tiers)
- Lightyear Frontier (Preview, January 8th - Standard & Above)
- My Time at Sandrock (January 8th - Standard & Above)
- Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders (January 8th - Standard & Above)
- Rolling Hills (January 8th - Standard & Above)
- UFC 5 (January 14th - Ultimate Only)
- Diablo (January 14th - Ultimate & PC Game Pass)
Note the tier restrictions: Diablo is exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, while UFC 5 is limited to Ultimate subscribers only. The remaining titles are accessible with a standard subscription.
Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks are also available, including weapon charms and DLC for popular titles like Apex Legends, First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
Departing Games (January 15th):
However, the influx of new games means some titles are leaving the service. Six games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:
- Common'hood
- Escape Academy
- Exoprimal
- Figment
- Insurgency Sandstorm
- Those Who Remain
This initial January lineup is just the beginning. Microsoft promises further announcements for the latter half of January and beyond, so keep an eye out for more updates.
