SMSBUS: Kazakhstan's Contactless Public Transit Ticketing App

Pay for public transport in Kazakhstan directly from your phone balance using the SMSBUS app. Enjoy commission-free payments!

Find city and route information on the official website: https://smsbus.kz

To validate your fare, simply show your electronic ticket on your phone to the driver or transit authority.

Your electronic ticket remains valid until you reach your destination and is accessible in the "Valid Tickets" section. View past tickets in the "Travel History" section.

Payment Failure Reasons:

Corporate mobile numbers
Outstanding trust payments
Insufficient balance since number activation
Unused starting balance
SIM card replaced within the last 24 hours

Create a free virtual transport card within the app. Self-registration is available for standard and student cards. Other discounted cards require in-person registration at a SMSBUS office with supporting documentation.

Top up your virtual card using its number directly in the app or through other banking apps like Kaspi Bank and Halyk Bank (homebank).

App Permissions:

Camera: Used for QR code scanning.
Location: Enables accurate map display, automatic bus detection for simplified payment (determining the bus code via GPS), and route planning (including transfers) from your location to your destination. Enter destinations and departures using the map or text addresses.

SMSBUS est une application très pratique pour payer les transports publics au Kazakhstan. Pas de frais de commission, c'est super! Le site web est clair, mais il manque parfois des informations précises sur les horaires. Globalement, c'est un outil indispensable.
