Application Description

Maximize your word count to achieve victory! Squares is a daily word puzzle and strategy game where players strategically complete squares on a grid to create words.

Gameplay: Connect letters in any direction—up, down, left, right, or diagonally—to form words. The objective is to uncover all words hidden within the letter grid and accumulate the highest possible score.

Game Rules:

Scoring: Each letter in a word earns one point (e.g., a five-letter word scores five points).
Word Length: Words must contain at least four letters.
Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
Excluded Words: Words with hyphens, proper nouns, offensive language, or uncommon terms are not included in the main word list.

Bonus Words:

Hidden Gems: Bonus words encompass obscure, archaic, or slang terms. These words don't contribute to your main score but appear in a separate bonus word list. Continue your search for these even after finding all main words (post-game).
Word of the Day: Each puzzle features a "Word of the Day"—a special, often longer bonus word. Discovering it rewards you with two extra hints!

Daily Challenge: A new Squares puzzle is unveiled daily at midnight.

Perspective Shift: Rotate the grid left or right using the buttons in the bottom right corner for a fresh perspective. Different angles can unlock hidden words.

Letter Clues: Upon finding 40% of the words, you receive a hint: a number appears on each letter, indicating how many words begin with that letter. The absence of a number signifies no words start with that letter. Letters turning orange indicate they've been used in the main words but might still appear in bonus words.

Hint System: Each puzzle offers 3 to 5 hints (lightbulb icons). Using a hint reveals the first letter of a random word and its search direction. The number of hints depends on puzzle difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends grants an extra hint!
