SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) est le standard W3C pour l'imagerie vectorielle. Contrairement aux images bitmap composées de pixels fixes, les graphiques vectoriels sont construits à partir de formes définies et de leurs propriétés. Le principal avantage du SVG est son évolutivité — l'agrandissement de l'image préserve tous les détails sans perte de qualité.
PainterSVG est un éditeur conçu pour les images SVG, offrant ces capacités :
- Créer et modifier des formes incluant les lignes, les cercles, les rectangles et plus encore
- Créer et modifier des tracés avec prise en charge des lignes droites, cubiques et quadratiques — glissez facilement les points d'extrémité et les points de contrôle pour ajuster le tracé
- Contrôles intuitifs pour définir les propriétés de contour et de remplissage pour toutes les formes et tous les tracés
- Appliquer des remplissages de couleur unie, des dégradés linéaires ou des dégradés radiaux à n'importe quelle forme
- Outils de sélection simples pour sélectionner/désélectionner les éléments, glisser pour déplacer, redimensionner ou pivoter
- Fonctionnalité de zoom avant et arrière facile
- Regroupement et dissociation pratiques des éléments
- Lire et écrire dans des fichiers SVG externes
- Exporter vers des fichiers PNG (avec transparence) ou des fichiers JPG (avec fond blanc)
