It's important to note that alarms can only be set on either the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your smartphone, not both simultaneously. To receive alarms on your smartphone, you should start the sensor using the app. Conversely, to get alerts on the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, initiate the sensor with the reader. After starting the sensor with the reader, you can still scan it with your smartphone. Keep in mind that the app and the reader do not share data with each other.
