Ten years of peaceful Sims life comes to an end as burglars return to the game! The Sims 4 developers recently announced a highly anticipated (though perhaps not universally welcomed) update in their latest blog post.
Just like in previous Sims games, installing a security system will help deter these unwelcome guests. Once triggered, the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend the culprit. For more security, skilled Sims can upgrade the alarm system to improve its reliability and ensure automatic police dispatch. Without an alarm, players can still call the police, hoping for a timely response, or attempt the risky strategy of befriending the burglar.
More imaginative solutions exist for those with expansion packs: unleashing the fury of dogs, spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves upon the intruder, or even freezing them solid with a specialized ray. These options, however, are locked behind the respective expansion pack purchases.
