Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's release date is officially confirmed! Sony's State of Play 2025 showcase revealed the game will launch on August 28, 2025, alongside a new trailer. This follows a leak last week via the PlayStation Store, which also prematurely unveiled the trailer.
An exciting Ape Escape crossover was also hinted at, with a cryptic "And More" message suggesting additional collaborations are in store. This first crossover appears to be a nod to the original Metal Gear Solid 3's monkey minigame, where Snake used stun grenades and his unique "Monkey Shaker" weapon.
While boasting a new first-person perspective, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remains remarkably faithful to its predecessor. IGN's preview described it as a "very shiny HD remaster," praising its visual fidelity but noting its almost unwavering adherence to the original, potentially at the expense of a more substantial remake.
