Tute Cabrero is a beloved and competitive card game that has gained widespread popularity across South America. Played by 3 to 5 players, it's an every-player-for-themselves style match—there are no teams involved.

The primary goal of the game is to either accumulate the most points or the fewest points (depending on the agreed-upon variation of play). In this unique twist, the player who finishes in second place is considered the loser. The game is played using a standard deck of 40 Spanish playing cards.

Card ranking follows a specific order from highest to lowest: Ace (worth 11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), followed by the 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (all of which carry no point value).

During gameplay, the first card played in a trick sets the leading suit. Each player must follow that suit if possible; if not, any card may be played. If a trump card is played during the trick, it wins unless another trump of higher rank is also played. In the absence of trumps, the highest card of the leading suit takes the trick.
