Ubisoft Announces Changes to Assassin's Creed Shadows and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Assassin's Creed Shadows Early Access Cancelled

Assassin's Creed Shadows Updates:

  • Early Access Cancellation: The early access period for Assassin's Creed Shadows has been scrapped. The game will now launch simultaneously for all players on February 14, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Collector's Edition Price Reduction: The price of the Assassin's Creed Shadows Collector's Edition has been reduced from $280 to $230. The edition still includes the artbook, steelbook, figurine, and other previously announced items.
  • Potential Co-op Mode: Unconfirmed reports suggest Ubisoft Quebec is exploring the addition of a co-op mode allowing players to control both antagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. This remains unverified.
  • No Season Pass: Ubisoft has confirmed that there will be no season pass for Assassin's Creed Shadows.

According to Insider Gaming, the cancellation of early access stems from challenges ensuring historical accuracy and cultural representation. These issues also contributed to the game's release date delay.
