Capcom just slipped in a cheeky Resident Evil 9 hint hiding in plain sight.
The Resident Evil 4 development team shared a celebratory video today (April 25) marking their incredible milestone of 10 million players. The clip shows Ada Wong whispering secrets to one of gaming's most notorious villains before switching to Leon Kennedy - surrounded by infected wearing festive party hats shuffling toward the church.
Then the tone shifts dramatically to a rock anthem, with Dr. Salvador bizarrely playing his chainsaw like an air guitar (we're not joking). The camera pulls back to reveal Leon pumping his fist in the background while standing near a wooden sign reading "Thank you for playing."

Here's where things get interesting - if you tilt your head, you'll notice the sign's wooden planks deliberately form the Roman numeral "IX" (that's 9 for those who skipped Latin class).
While some might dismiss this as coincidence, horror insider Dusk Golem highlighted that earlier shots of the same sign mysteriously lack the bottom plank - confirmation this was intentionally crafted. Interpret that however you like.
"I see what you hid there," reacted one shocked commenter, following up with astonished-face emojis.
In related news, Capcom confirmed Resident Evil's next main installment will be helmed by Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi.
"Finding inspiration after Resident Evil 7 proved incredibly challenging," Nakanishi previously explained. "But we've cracked it—this next chapter feels monumental. While I can't reveal specifics yet, stay tuned—it'll be worth the wait." Rumor suggests (though remains unconfirmed) the setting involves an island inspired by Singapore.
