Palworld has just released a major new patch, introducing a collaboration with Ultrakill and a host of enhancements as developer Pocketpair continues refining the game ahead of the highly anticipated full release of Palworld 1.0.
John “Bucky” Buckley, Communications Director and Publishing Manager, teased that this update, titled Home Sweet Home, "lays essential groundwork as we move toward our MASSIVE 1.0 release in 2026—but there are plenty of little surprises here too, so give it a look!"
As part of the Ultrakill crossover, you’ll discover several "iconic weapons and armor," along with V1’s notorious coin toss mechanic. The Home Sweet Home update, as the name implies, makes it easier than ever to settle in and craft your perfect base.
Pocketpair said they’ve been "blown away by all the incredible builds you’ve been sharing," and recognize that fans have "been eager for more freedom in base design." That’s why this update introduces numerous new building pieces, including the ability to customize building colors and the long-requested triangular elements. The building menu UI has also been completely redesigned into a clean list format.
But that’s not all. Melee combat has been overhauled to feel "more viable and enjoyable." Now, when summoning a raid boss at the Summoning Altar, players can choose to fight either at their base—or in a dedicated Raid Area.
"These Raid Areas let you go all out without risking damage to your base," the team explained. "You can build temporary structures and bring items into these special zones." This comes just in time, as a brand-new raid boss also joins the fray after the update.
"2025 has been an incredible year for Palworld, and we’re thrilled to cap it off with v0.7, Home Sweet Home!" Pocketpair declared. "The goal of this update is to start improving existing systems. While it may not be as content-heavy as past updates, we hope players understand this groundwork is crucial as we build toward Palworld 1.0."
Last but certainly not least—PvP! Though the studio acknowledges PvP has been a hot topic in the Palworld community for "a long time," and that fully integrating it is "challenging," they’re working to make it a reality—with thoughtful limits.
"We’re releasing all the tools players need to set up their own PvP rules on their own terms," Pocketpair said. "Show off your skills and compete with other Pal Tamers! Please note that PvP is experimental and may have some balance issues."
